Four promoted to officer positions at The Village Bank

Joseph De Vito, president and CEO of The Village Bank, announced today that four Bank employees have been promoted to officer positions.

They are Anna M. Lemieux of Marlborough, Nicole E. Sloan of Waltham, Sobeida Santana of Dedham, and Corey Rouleau of Waltham.

Lemieux
Anna Lemieux, who was named an assistant treasurer in 2012, was promoted to assistant vice president/project manager. She joined The Village Bank in 2008 as assistant manager of the Auburndale branch, and transferred to the Bank’s operations department in 2009. 

Earlier in her career, she held various retail and lending positions with Danvers Savings Bank and Eastern Bank following her graduation from Salem State College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration/management.

Lemieux is a past recipient of The Village Bank President’s Award, an annual employee honor determined by a number of criteria including professionalism, attitude, commitment, and interpersonal skills. 

Sloan
Nicole Sloan was promoted to assistant treasurer/business process manager. She joined The Village Bank in 2009 as teller supervisor at the Bank’s Newtonville branch with previous experience as a head teller with JPMorgan Chase.

In 2010, Sloan was selected for The Village Bank’s year-long internal Management Training Program designed to prepare employees for enhanced career opportunities within the Bank. Upon completion of the program she accepted a position in Deposit Operations as a business process analyst and was later promoted to business process manager.

Sloan holds a master of business administration degree from New England College of Business and Finance, and is an honors graduate of the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business management.

She serves on the event committee of the John M. Barry Boys and Girls Club of Newton, and is a committee member of the Newton-Needham Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Group.

Santana
Sobeida Santana was promoted to assistant treasurer/branch manager.

She joined The Village Bank in 2011 as assistant manager of the Newton Highlands branch and is now the manager at that location. She began her banking career in 2002 as a branch manager with Bank of America, and subsequently spent four years in that role with Sovereign Bank. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Boston College.

Rouleau
Corey Rouleau, who was hired as a staff accountant in 2009, was promoted to assistant treasurer/staff accountant. She joined The Village Bank from Jewett City (CT) Savings Bank, where she held the position of junior accountant.

Rouleau will receive a master’s degree in finance from the New England College of Business and Finance this summer. She is an honors graduate of Nichols College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She also holds a certificate in banking from the Connecticut School of Finance and Management.
