Pennybaker, White promoted to VP at The Village Bank

David C. Pennybaker, Jr. of Burlington and Richard P. White of Billerica have been promoted to vice president positions at The Village Bank. Joseph De Vito, president and CEO, announced the promotions, which were approved by the board of directors at the Bank’s Annual Meeting on May 14.

Pennybaker is now vice president of commercial lending; White is now vice president and treasurer of accounting.

David Pennybaker has been with The Village Bank as assistant vice president/commercial loan officer since 2011, responsible for the development of new commercial and business relationships.

He joined The Village Bank from Brookline Bank, where he served as commercial relationship manager, assistant vice president. Previously, he held commercial lending positions with Wainwright Bank & Trust and Century Bank & Trust. He began his career with US Trust Company in Boston, and also served as an analyst-auditor for Wells Fargo Foothill.

Pennybaker is a graduate of the Sawyer School of Management at Suffolk University.

Richard “Rick” White joined The Village Bank as accounting manager in 2006, responsible for financial controls and financial reporting.

Previously, he most recently held positions with Commerce Bank & Trust Company and Middlesex Bank & Trust Company. He began his career at Lexington Savings Bank.

White is a graduate of Northeastern University and New England Banking Institute.
