Mark Bennett selected for Management Training Program at The Village Bank

Joseph De Vito, president and CEO of The Village Bank, announced today that Mark Bennett of Hanson has been selected to participate in an internal Management Training Program designed to prepare employees for enhanced career opportunities with the Bank.

Bennett participated in a selection process that involved structured department interviews and meetings with senior management. To be considered for the program, a candidate must have worked for the Bank for at least one year, and must have earned a bachelor’s degree.

The customized curriculum for the year-long Management Training Program involves four- to eight-week rotations in areas of the Bank including human resources, compliance, information technology, deposit operations, lending and retail.

According to De Vito, the experience is designed to give the trainee hands-on experience that will provide a better understanding of each of the areas, and a deeper knowledge of the Bank and the industry.

Successful completion of the program leads to a future management position with the Bank, he added.

Presently a customer care specialist, Bennett joined The Village Bank in 2011 as a teller at the West Newton Branch. He moved to the Bank’s Customer Care Center in 2013. He is a graduate of Whitman-Hanson Regional High School and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Regis College in Weston. His future plans include enrolling in the master’s degree program at New England College of Business and Finance.
