The Village Bank helps Pop Warner players keep score!
AUBURNDALE, MASSACHUSETTS, January 16, 2007 … Young Pop Warnerites in Newton now have their own score board at the Newton Highlands Playground, site of all Newton Pop Warner Football League clinics, practices and home games. The new board was a gift from The Village Bank, whose Newton Highland branch is located within a touchdown pass of the field!
According to Kenneth C. Brennan, president and CEO, The Village Bank didn’t hesitate when asked by Pop Warner Vice President Tom DeStefano and Secretary of the Board Lisa Levine to help purchase a scoreboard. The Village Bank went one step further, and covered the entire $4,200 price tag.
Newton Pop Warner Football, founded in 1964, serves over 180 families.
