AUBURNDALE, MASSACHUSETTS, June, 2007 … Two Newton residents were recently recognized for 30 years of service to The Village Bank in Auburndale.
Debra Gowins and Patricia A. MacNeil were praised by Kenneth C. Brennan, president and CEO, for their service record and numerous contributions to the Bank during the past three decades.
Gowins
Debra Gowins currently serves as vice president in charge of Bank Security Act activities and security, a position she accepted recently after serving for 13 years as vice president and treasurer.
She has built her career at The Village Bank, starting as a bookkeeper and also serving as assistant treasurer and office manager at various times. She is a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, and is involved in a number of causes including MDA and diabetes fundraising efforts.
MacNeil
Patricia MacNeil joined the Bank as a teller in 1977 following graduation from Newton North High School, and has served as an assistant vice president and branch manager of the Bank’s Wayland office since 1980. She has overseen the growth of that branch to today’s $59 million-plus in deposits, while being an active and contributing member of the Wayland community.
She is currently president of the Wayland Business Association, a member of Rotary, and vice president/treasurer for Friends of the Wayland Seniors. She is also on the Board of the Weston Dog Training Club, a member of the BNI - Commerce Connection, captain of the local team for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, and sits on the Wayland Community Board.
She is the recipient of a Certificate of Achievement from State Senator Scott Brown for her services to the Council on Aging, and also received The Village Bank’s first annual Service Excellence Award, in 2004.
