Lula Kiflit wins annual Service Excellence Award at The Village Bank
AUBURNDALE, MASSACHUSETTS, June, 2007 …Lula Kiflit is the recipient of the Service Excellence Award presented annually by The Village Bank to an outstanding employee who consistently demonstrates “commitment to the customer,” as described in the Bank’s Preferred Banking Pledge.
Kenneth C. Brennan, president and CEO, announced Kiflit’s selection for the honor at the Bank’s recent Annual Meeting.
Kiflit began her banking career at Newton South Co-operative Bank in 2002, prior to Newton South’s consolidation with Auburndale Co-operative Bank and the creation of The Village Bank. Brennan stated that Kiflit has become a valuable member of the Loan Department where, as a loan processor, she performs the underwriting of consumer loans and processing of all consumer and residential loans.
“She is described by management and her peers as adaptive, positive and cooperative, while always quick to embrace change,” said Brennan.
“She seeks solutions to improve efficiency and offers assistance wherever needed, and is helpful and courteous to co-workers and customers,” he added. “She embodies all of the elements of our Preferred Banking Pledge.”
Kiflit earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Mount Ida College in Newton, and had worked previously with the City of Newton and the Boys and Girls Club. She is an active Board member of Boston’s Annunciation Cathedral Church and Sunday School program.
