Notice Concerning Your Privacy Rights

The confidentiality of your information is important to us as we recognize that you do business with us based upon your trust that we will keep your information confidential.
This notice provides you with information concerning our policies with respect to nonpublic personal information that we collect about you in connection with financial products and services we provide for you.

Information We Collect:
We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources
• Information we receive from you on applications and/or other forms;
• Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others; and
• Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency.
We do not disclosure any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as presented in the next paragraph and as permitted by law.

Who receives the information and why:

1. Service Providers/Joint Marketing Partners:
To provide you with the best possible financial products and services, we may exchange limited nonpublic personal information such as:
• Information we receive from you on applications and other forms, such as your name, address, social security number, assets and income.
• Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others, such as your account balance, payment history, credit card usage and the like; and
• Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency about you, such as your creditworthiness and credit history.
We may disclose the above nonpublic personal information to the following types of third parties hired by the bank to make available products and services we believe are appropriate for our customers: investment advisers, financial advisors as well as companies who market The Village Bank products and services. These third parties are prohibited from further disclosing or using this information other than to carry out the marketing program for which we have shared the information.

2. Permitted by Law:
We may disclose customer information we collect , as described above to non-affiliated third parties as permitted by law. For example, we may disclose information about you to a credit-reporting agency, in response to a subpoena or court order, as required by certain federal and state laws, to help complete a transaction initiated by you and pursuant to your request or authorization.
We may also disclose customer information we collect to companies that perform services or functions on our behalf, such as account processing, marketing services and auditing services, as permitted by law.

The Village Bank will never sell personal information about you while you are a customer or thereafter.

At The Village Bank we are committed to protecting your privacy. We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those of our employees who need to know that information in order for us to provide products or services for you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.
