Joseph De Vito, president and CEO of The Village Bank, has announced the promotion of six employees to officer positions.
Gary Vitti, who has been branch manager of the Bank’s West Newton office since its opening in 2009, was promoted to vice president, following an earlier promotion to assistant vice president/branch administrator in February of this year. Vitti joined The Village Bank in 2007 with over 30 years of experience, including positions with Avco Financial Services and Marlborough Savings Bank.
Michael Harrington, who has been with the Bank since August 2014 as information technology (IT) manager, was also promoted to vice president. Manager of Belmont Savings Bank’s IT department for several years before joining The Village Bank, Harrington is also a former bank examiner for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Slater Cram, branch manager of the Bank’s Auburndale office since 2014, was promoted to assistant vice president. Cram joined The Village Bank in 2007 as a teller in the Waban Office, and was promoted to head teller in Auburndale in 2007. He joined the West Newton branch as a personal banker when it opened in 2009 and was promoted to assistant manager several months later. He transferred to the Auburndale branch in 2012 and was promoted to branch manager in December 2014.
Katie Herrick was also promoted to assistant vice president. She joined the Bank in May 2004 as a college intern and became a quality control coordinator in the lending department following graduation. During her tenure, she has held several different positions including commercial loan portfolio assistant, commercial operations coordinator, and credit analyst. In February 2015, Katie was promoted to commercial loan officer, and was promoted to assistant treasurer in May 2016.
Patrick Jencunas, who joined the Bank in August 2009 as a teller in the Wayland office, was promoted to assistant treasurer. Jencunas was promoted to teller supervisor in 2011, and transferred to the Bank’s Newtonville office. He was promoted again the following year to the customer service representative role in Auburndale. He became assistant branch manager in Newton Highlands in 2016 and was promoted to branch manager the following year.
Jennifer Ward was also promoted to assistant treasurer. Ward joined The Village Bank in 2017 with more than a decade of call center experience, primarily at Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union, and also has retail banking management experience from both TD Bank and Georgetown Bank.
