The Village Bank awards 19 scholarships to the Class of 2026

Joseph A. De Vito, president and CEO of The Village Bank, announced today that the Auburndale Community Charitable Foundation has awarded scholarships totaling $54,000 to 19 local students.

Two $10,000 scholarships were awarded to Roaa Ben Aiad and Anika Thomas of Newton South High School. The two were chosen for their academic excellence and leadership involvement in community and charitable initiatives.

In addition, 17 students from local high schools were awarded $2,000 scholarships:

Averie Lee – Concord Academy
Jayden Newland – Wayland High School
Michael Quinn – Newton North High School
Sophia “Logan” Richard – Newton North High School
Lillian Santangelo – Newton North High School
Frederick Torcasio – Newton North High School
Sophia Tucker – Hudson High School
Colleen Walsh – Newton North High School
Griffin Wood – Wayland High School
