Q. What type of deposit accounts do you offer?

A. We offer a wide range of products and services for both personal and business customers. You may also stop by any of our offices or call our Customer Care Center at (617) 969-4300 for more information.

Q. What type of loan accounts do you offer?

A. We offer a wide range of consumer, residential and commercial loans. For more information, please contact the Village Loan Center at (617) 964-0117.

Q. Can I open a new account online?

A. Yes, you can open a wide range of accounts by clicking on open an account from our Home page.

Q. Can I apply for a loan with The Village Bank online?

A. Yes, you can apply for a mortgage or consumer loan online. At this time, we do not have an online personal loan application. Click here to apply for a mortgage.

Q. Can I order new checks online?

A. If it is your first order of checks, you will need to either, stop by any office, call our Customer Care Center at (617) 969-4300 or send us a secure message within Village Online Banking. If you would like to order checks, log in to Village Online Banking and click on More, then Order Checks.

Q. How can I submit a “Stop Payment”?

A. Village Bank customers can submit a stop payment order through Village Online Banking, The Village Line Telephone Banking, or by calling/stopping by your local office during normal business hours.

Q. I am a business owner, what deposit options does The Village Bank have to offer my business?

A. The Village Bank offers many deposit account options for business customers We also offer Cash Management services within Village Online Banking, you have the option to do ACH, wires, mobile deposit and more, all from the comfort of your office. Q. Does The Village Bank offer an Overdraft Protection Plan?

A. No, we do however offer a product called Village Reserve Line of Credit (LOC) to our customers that can act as an overdraft protection for a checking account. The LOC is linked to your checking account, and the line is accessed when your account no longer has money in it. The only charge for this product is the interest on the outstanding balance of your LOC. The LOC can be applied for with a loan application and is submitted for loan approval. This process can take up to 72 hours and once approved it will be attached to your checking account. We offer this product for personal and business checking accounts.
