Joseph A. De Vito, president and CEO of The Village Bank, announced the renewal of an initiative to help support businesses in Newton during Small Business Saturday, which will be held November 26, 2022. As part of this support, the Bank will pay for parking on all meters in Newton to encourage patronage of Newton-based businesses.

Created in 2010 to support local businesses during the busiest shopping season of the year, Small Business Saturday is held every year on the Saturday following Thanksgiving.

“Local businesses are vital to our communities, and The Village Bank wants to show those businesses that we are here for them,” De Vito said. “Our goal is to encourage members of the community to support our businesses and help them make the most of the holiday season.”

For the second straight year, the Bank will cover all parking meters and kiosks in Newton for the entire day.
